First Solo Flight
Your first solo flight is a big step and will be something you always remember. The time taken to "go solo" varies from pilot to pilot, but is generally achieved after about 12 to 15 hours flight training.
Minimum Requirements - First Solo
The main requirements for the first solo flight are:
- Be a minimum of 16 years of age
- Hold a current Class 2 Medical Certificate
- Speak, read and understand the English language and
- Have demonstrated competence in the various aspects of flight outlined in Part 61.105 of the Civil Aviation Rules.
